Podczas Zjazdu PTA wręczone zostaną nagrody i honorowe wyróżnienia. Najbardziej prestiżową nagrodą PTA jest ustanowiony w 2011 roku Medal Bohdana Paczyńskiego, przyznawany za wybitne osiągnięcia naukowe na najwyższym międzynarodowym poziomie. Po raz pierwszy Medal został wręczony na 36. Zjeździe PTA profesorowi Martinowi J. Rees'owi, brytyjskiemu astronomowi królewskiemu. Laureata siódmej edycji Medalu Bohdana Paczyńskiego poznamy na Zjeździe w Warszawie. Wygłosi on uroczysty wykład laureata. Dwa pozostałe wyróżnienia zwyczajowo wręczane na każdym Zjeździe to: Medal im. Włodzimierza Zonna za wybitne osiągnięcia w popularyzacji wiedzy o Wszechświecie oraz Nagroda Młodych za osiągnięcia naukowe osób zaczynających pracę badawczą. Ponadto, w czasie Zjazdu przyznawana jest godność Honorowego Członka PTA.

PTA/PAS Awards
During the PTA/PAS meeting, awards and honorary distinctions will be presented. The most prestigious PTA/PAS award is the Bohdan Paczyński Medal, established in 2011, which is granted for outstanding scientific achievements at the highest international level. The medal was first awarded at the 36th PTA/PAS meeting to Professor Martin J. Rees, the British Astronomer Royal. The recipient of the seventh edition of the Bohdan Paczyński Medal will be announced at the meeting in Warsaw, where they will deliver the Laureate’s Lecture.
Two other distinctions traditionally awarded at each PTA/PAS meeting are the Włodzimierz Zonn Medal for outstanding achievements in public outreach on the Universe and the Young Scientists’ Award for early-career researchers’ scientific accomplishments. Additionally, during the meeting, the title of Honorary Member of the PTA/PAS is conferred.
